A Series of Two‒week PCR‒training Courses for Laboratory Specialists from CIS States at the RII in 2015 — Overvieww

In 2015 WHO National Influenza Center for Russia at the Research Institute of Influenza (RII) with support from WHO/Europe has carried out a series of two‒week training courses for laboratory specialists from CIS states. The courses were designed to provide knowledge and skills of PCR diagnosis for studying circulating and emerging human influenza viruses. The courses are part of the WHO annual “Strengthening Capacities of Influenza Laboratory Experts” program as well as Pandemic Influenza Preparedness (PIP) Partnership Contribution Implementation Plan.
