A collection of articles and abstracts presented at the Interregional Conference of Base Laboratories, 24–25 October, 2011. The topics include analysis of influenza and ARI morbidity and mortality in Russia during 2009–2011 epidemic seasons, latest achievements in Russian influenza and ARVI surveillance including sentinel surveillance, priority areas of influenza vaccine prevention and chemotherapy, and influenza complications in children.
